Florida still doesn’t have an offense

Florida beat Tennessee on Saturday in what was one of the most amazing finishes in the history of SEC football. Feleipe Franks‘ 63-yard bomb to Tyrie Cleveland is going to go down in SEC football lore with the likes of Auburn’s kick-six, Georgia’s hobnail boot, and Tennessee’s Mary last season.

The win may make some people forget just how terrible the Gators’ offense was for the first three quarters against the Volunteers, but not me. Through the first three quarters of the game against Tennessee, Florida managed just 191 total yards and six points. It took Florida 115 minutes to score their first offensive touchdown of the season.

The Gators’ defense carried them last season, but that’s not going to happen this season. Florida will travel to Lexington, Ky. this weekend for a dangerous matchup with the Wildcats, a team they’ve beaten 30 years in a row.
