SEC Football: Week 6 picks, Separation Saturday
Ranked SEC Football Games
LSU Tigers at No. 21 Florida Gators (-2.5)
3:30 pm – Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Gainesville, Fl.
The fact that Florida is only favored by less than three points should give you a good indication of how bad this Gator offense really is.
Say what you will about LSU head coach Ed Orgeron, he manages to get loyalty from his players. Losing a homecoming game to Troy last week, and causing an outcry of acrimony against their head coach won’t sit well with this LSU team.
The Tigers are talented, and the Gators have been extremely lucky so far this season. Luck generally doesn’t run out in the Swamp, and the Gators may have finally found some offensive rhythm behind quarterback Feleipe Franks.

No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide (-26) at Texas A&M Aggies
7:15 pm – Kyle Field, College Station, TX.
This may be the best shot to see the Crimson Tide upset before the Iron Bowl this year, and it’s still not a very good chance of it happening.
Remember when the internet fired Kevin Sumlin earlier this year? Well, Sumlin and his Aggies have quietly crept back into the SEC West race with a 4-1 overall record, going 2-0 in SEC play so far.
The problem is, the Aggies have made a habit of coming back late in games, and that’s the precise time Alabama slams the door shut on opponents, giving up only 20 fourth quarter points all season. The Tide defense has also yet to give up a touchdown in SEC play.
That will make things awfully tough for the Aggies, even in their home stadium.
The 26-point line? Now that’s a different story. Conventional wisdom says Alabama just whipped their last two opponents by a combined score of 125-3, but there’s a huge difference in Texas A&M as opposed to Vanderbilt or Ole Miss.

The Tide come back down to earth just a little this week, walking out of College Station with a win, but not by 26 points.
