It is the sixth week of the regular season already, and this week gives us nearly a full slate of SEC football action.

Gotta love SEC football. Does this time of the year fly by, or what? We’re already in October and it seems like yesterday that the season was kicking off. October is really the month that decides the college football season. Some teams can fake their way through September, but this is now the meat and potatoes of the conference schedule, and every team is going to be put to the test.

Week 6 marks the only week of the entire football season that every SEC football team is playing a conference opponent. There’s six games on Saturday, with Mississippi State and Tennessee being the only two teams on bye weeks.

Here’s my predictions for this week’s games.

Ole Miss @ Auburn – 12:00 (SEC Network)

After a slow start to the season, Auburn is starting to look like the team people thought they would be coming into the season after outscoring opponents 100-24 in their first two conference games of the season. Ole Miss was just blasted by Alabama 66-3, we’ll see if they bounce back or just roll over.

  • Auburn 41, Ole Miss 24

Georgia @ Vanderbilt – 12:00 (ESPN)

The Georgia Bulldogs are on a roll, outscoring opponents 72-3 in their first two conference games. They’ll be looking for payback from last year’s 17-16 loss to the Commodores where they outgained Vanderbilt 421-171 and still lost. With the way this Georgia defense is playing, I don’t see Vanderbilt scoring double digits against the Bulldogs.

  • Georgia 34, Vanderbilt 6

LSU @ Florida – 3:30 (CBS)

This was one of the most entertaining SEC football games of the season last year, with Florida edging LSU 16-10 in Baton Rouge on a goal line stand. The Gators are not without flaws, but they just seem to find ways to win. The Tigers have to be better than the team that lost to Troy last week, right?

  • LSU 20, Florida 16

Arkansas @ South Carolina – 4:00 (SEC Network)

I think I’m one of the few people that hasn’t given up on Arkansas, but this is make or break time for the Razorbacks. They’re 2-2, but only one of their losses is in conference play and their loss to TCU is looking more respectable by the week. South Carolina gave up seven sacks in last week’s loss to Texas A&M, and they just haven’t been the same since Deebo Samuel got injured.

  • Arkansas 31, South Carolina 20

Alabama @ Texas A&M – 7:15 (ESPN)

Alabama is absolutely shredding through SEC competition. They may not have faced the two best teams in the SEC the past two weeks, in fact, there’s a chance they faced the two worst, regardless they’ve outscored their opponents 127-3 the past two weeks. People wrote off Texas A&M after their collapse against UCLA, but the Aggies are 4-1 and improving each week. Christian Kirk is bound to make a play or two, but I don’t see this game being too close.

  • Alabama 45, Texas A&M 14

Missouri @ Kentucky – 7:30 (SEC Network)

Kentucky has not been impressive, but they still find themselves at 4-1, and if they knew how to line up on a wide receiver they could be 5-0. The more weeks go by, the more I’m starting to think that Missouri goes winless in the conference this season. But the Wildcats have yet to even blowout inferior competition, outscoring their three non-conference opponents (Southern Miss, Eastern Kentucky, and Eastern Michigan) 75-53.
