Ranked SEC Football Games

Besides our blowout and underdog picks this week, there is only one other ranked team playing.

No. 24 LSU Tigers (-7) at Ole Miss Rebels
7:15 pm – Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, Oxford, Ms.

The Tigers were written off for dead after the loss to Troy, but now they find themselves back in the mix, chasing Alabama like everyone else in the West.

This is potentially the biggest trap game of the week. LSU resurrected their season as well as Ed Orgeron’s job with the upset win over Auburn last week, but taking on the Rebels in Oxford as the Tigers look ahead to a bye week and then a date with Alabama could trip them up again.

The Rebels have struggled against every more than decent defense they’ve faced this season, and the LSU defense is finally playing like they were expected to at the beginning of the season.

I just can’t bring myself to trust Orgeron and the Tigers, and Ole Miss loves to play late-season spoiler in Oxford.

This one may end up being a shootout, with Ole Miss’ passing attack going toe-to-toe with the LSU run game. In the end, the Rebs will be the ones standing. Take Mississippi in the upset.
