The cautionary tale of Bret Bielema

The case of recently fired Arkansas head coach Brett Bielema is a cautionary tale for Mississippi State football fans.

Bret Bielema came to Arkansas from distant Wisconsin a successful head coach, defensive assistant, and country boy raised on a pig farm.

It didn’t work. Bielema couldn’t recruit the Texas talent he needed, and he just didn’t quite fit in. Arkansas recognized its mistake and hired former east Texas high school football coach Chad Morris to take Bielema’s place.

Former Texas head coach Charlie Strong was another good coach at the wrong school.
