
SEC basketball Player of the Week
Auburn’s Mustapha Heron is the SEC basketball Player of the Week. Heron averaged 16.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in wins at Tennessee and Arkansas. It is the first time Auburn has earned back-to-back victories against ranked SEC opponents since 1958. Heron and his teammates are riding a 12-game winning streak, the longest streak by a Tiger team since the 1999-2000 season.

The SEC basketball Freshman of the Week is LSU’s Tremont Waters. Water averaged 19.5 points, eight rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals against number 17 ranked Kentucky and against number 11 ranked Texas A&M.
