About those Georgia football quarterbacks

The angst over Georgia football’s two elite quarterback talents reached epidemic levels this Sunday.

About the Fromm verses Fields debate, it’s just not all that.

I’ve postulated Smart is grooming his two headed-quarterback monster for an Alabama showdown. After watching Georgia’s young pups on the offensive line for half a season and observing D’Andre Swift battle a nagging injury, it’s clear Georgia needs an edge against elite defenses.

The more significant debate is whether two quarterbacks can be effectively prepared during the week to play on Saturday.

I expect Coach Smart to grab the reins and pull back on the two-quarterback plan, if he hasn’t already, until the week of the U Mass game, which is the week before the Tech game, which is the week before the SEC Championship game and the Dawg’s date with Alabama.

During U Mass week, Fields will get prepped for the last two games of the season, or more. Don’t worry about Georgia’s quarterbacks. Worry about those trick plays.

Next. Dawg receivers deliver Swift. dark

Coach Smart has the right vision, and it’s the only vision for Georgia football. He just has to trust his players to fulfill it with the game on the line.
