No. 13 LSU Basketball Looks to Sweep Aggies in Midweek Matchup
LSU Basketball (22-5, 12-2) hosts Texas A&M in a Tuesday night matchup. The Tigers look to put together a solid performance and avoid an upset from the Aggies after upsetting Tennessee last week.
LSU Basketball needs to keep doing what it has been against the Aggies Tuesday evening.
The Tigers need to continue playing at a high level and keeping spreading the wealth. They will face a tough Texas A&M team who has won four of its last five games.
LSU ties with Tennessee and Kentucky at the top of the SEC standings with four games to play. The Tigers sit in an excellent situation and can potentially win the SEC standings before playing in the tournament.
If the season ended today, LSU would be the No.1 seed for the SEC Tournament. That event will take place in Nashville, March 13-17.

This game will be the second time this season Texas A&M and LSU faced off with each other. In game one, the Tigers outscored the Aggies 35-21 in the second half to win 72-57.
LSU out-rebounded the Aggies 45-39. The Tigers brought down 21 offensive boards that led to 21-second-chance points.
Tremont Waters scored 36 points in the first matchup. However, the Tigers may have to go another game without him as his status is still up in the air.
The Tigers will need him as he drained six threes in the first matchup. However, LSU proved against Tennessee that even without him it could still win the game.
Even though they stepped up in his absence, it would still be nice to see him be able to play against the Aggies.
LSU needs to focus on each game and not look ahead. The Tigers have something special right now, and if they continue to play the way they currently are, it’ll be hard for any team to beat them.
Prediction
The Tigers don’t waste any time putting up points. Look for LSU to shoot beyond the arc, but also get its big guys Naz Reid and Kavell Bigby-Williams some love too.
After Reid struggled and scored one point against Tennessee, it wouldn’t surprise me to see him have a big game. Hopefully, his shots will fall, and the Tennessee game was just a cold game for him.
LSU will be too much for the Aggies, and I see the Tigers taking control early and dominating from start to finish.
The Tigers wins 85-69.
