One of the SEC Football teams that have added the most players through the transfer portal, a majority of LSU’s additions should provide an instant-impact such as defensive backs Sevyn Banks, Jarrick Bernard, Greg Brooks Jr, Joe Foucha, and Mekhi Williams-Garner.

In addition to that group however, the Tigers also added one of the off-seasons top transfer quarterbacks in Arizona State’s Jayden Daniels who will compete for the starting job in the fall, as well as an impact running back in Penn State transfer Noah Cain. LSU also landed an impact wide receiver in Louisiana transfer Kyren Lacy, while FIU’s Myles Frazier and ETSU’s Tre’Mond Shorts will provide depth along the offensive front.

Among the other additions, the Tigers also added two depth pieces at linebacker in South Carolina transfer Kolbe Fields and Virginia’s West Weeks, while Missouri transfer Mekhi Wingo could see a significant amount of time on LSU’s defensive front. East Carolina transfer Slade Roy will likely be the Tigers long snapper in 2022, while experienced punter Jay Bramblett will likely start for LSU after averaging a combined 41.6 yards per punt the last three years at Notre Dame.
