8. Arkansas Razorbacks

Notable Players Returning:

  • QB K.J. Jefferson
  • RB Raheim Sanders
  • DB Hudson Clark
  • LB Chris Paul Jr.
  • DB Dwight McGlothern

Coming off a nine-win 2021 season, Arkansas took a bit of a step back in 2022, finishing the year at 7-6 overall (3-5 in SEC). The Razorbacks could however potentially bounce back in a big way in 2023, with a few notable players returning next season, headlined by the duo of quarterback K.J. Jefferson and running back Raheim Sanders.

7. Mississippi State Bulldogs

Notable Players Returning:

  • QB Will Rogers
  • RB Jo’quavious Marks
  • WR Rufus Harvey
  • WR Lideatrick Griffin
  • CB Decamerion Richardson

Mississippi State (9-4 overall, 4-4 in SEC) is coming off their highest win total since the 2017 season, with Zach Arnett now entering his first full season as the head coach of the Bulldogs in 2023. The Bulldogs should be talented once again as well, led by their usual high-powered offense led by one of the SEC’s top quarterbacks, Will Rogers.
