SEC Basketball: Tennessee, Texas A&M rise in latest 2022-23 power rankings

10. Georgia Bulldogs

Previous Ranking: 9

Georgia drops a spot to No. 10 in this week’s update, with the Bulldogs currently sitting at 14-7 overall, as well as 4-4 in the SEC. The Bulldogs originally began this past week with a 70-41 road loss at Tennessee on Wednesday, but rebounded with an 81-78 home win over South Carolina on Saturday, which snapped what was a three-game losing streak.

The Bulldogs however have a tough week ahead on their schedule, which will begin Wednesday night with a road trip to Auburn. Georgia will then travel once again Saturday to College Station to face Texas A&M.

9. Mississippi State Bulldogs

Mississippi State rises a spot in this week’s update up to No. 9, with the Bulldogs currently sitting at 13-8 overall, as well as 1-7 in SEC play. While the Bulldogs have struggled in conference play, which includes a 66-63 road loss at Alabama last Wednesday, Mississippi State picked up a big 81-74 win on Saturday against TCU at home, which snapped what was a five-game losing streak.

The Bulldogs will now travel Tuesday night to South Carolina looking for their second SEC win of the season. Mississippi State will then return home Saturday for a big showdown with Missouri in Starkville.
