SEC Basketball: Kentucky, South Carolina rise in latest 2022-23 power rankings

10. Florida Gators

Previous Ranking: 10

Florida remains at the No. 10 spot in this week’s update, with the Gators now sitting at 14-13 overall, as well as 7-7 in SEC play. The Gators originally began this past week at home with a 79-64 win over Ole Miss, but was followed by a road loss at Arkansas on Saturday, 84-65, a game in which Florida was without Colin Castleton due to injury.

Looking ahead, the Gators will play both a home-and-road game this week as well, which begins Wednesday night at home against Kentucky. Florida will then travel Saturday for a matchup at Vanderbilt.

9. Vanderbilt Commodores

Previous Ranking: 9

Speaking of the Commodores, Vanderbilt remains in the No. 9 spot this week, now sitting at 15-12 overall, as well as 8-6 in the SEC. The Commodores are coming off yet another impressive week, one that began with a 75-64 road win at South Carolina on Tuesday, as well as a home win over Auburn on Saturday, 67-65.

Having now won five-straight, Vanderbilt will now travel to begin this week, which comes Wednesday night in Baton Rouge against LSU. The Commodores will also return home Saturday for a matchup against Florida.
