SEC Baseball: Vanderbilt, Missouri rise in latest 2023 power rankings

10. Kentucky Wildcats

Also rising a spot this week up to No. 10 is Kentucky, as the Wildcats now sit at 18-2 overall this season, as well as 3-0 in SEC play. The Wildcats continued their winning ways this past week to open SEC play, a week that included a 12-2 win over Indiana on Tuesday, as well as a home sweep over Mississippi State – 6-5, 12-3, and 17-3.

One of SEC baseball’s hottest teams having won 14 consecutive games, the Wildcats will now host Eastern Kentucky on Tuesday night. Kentucky will then travel to Alabama this weekend for their first conference road test of the season.

9. Alabama Crimson Tide

Speaking of the Crimson Tide, Alabama drops one spot to No. 9 now sitting at 17-4 overall this season, as well as 1-2 in SEC play. The Crimson Tide originally began the week with an impressive 4-0 road win at South Alabama on Tuesday, but would drop two-of-three games at Florida this past weekend, 3-0 and 8-7, but would take game three, 6-3.

Alabama will now return for all four games this weekend, which will begin Tuesday night against UAB. The Crimson Tide will then host Kentucky for the aforementioned matchup in Tuscaloosa this weekend.
