12. Auburn Tigers

Previous Ranking: 10

Dropping two spots in this week’s update to No. 12 is Auburn, as the Tigers now sit at 13-6 overall this season, as well as 0-3 in SEC play. The Tigers did originally begin this past week with a big win at home over Georgia Tech, 12-11, but would be swept on the road at Arkansas this past weekend by final scores of 7-2, 9-3, and 5-0.

Now on a three-game losing streak, Auburn will return to action Tuesday night at home against South Alabama in non-conference action. The Tigers will then host Georgia this weekend looking for their first SEC baseball win of the year.

11. Missouri Tigers

Previous Ranking: 13

A team that you could make an argument should be higher on this list, Missouri (16-3 overall, 3-0 in SEC) is one of the biggest risers of the week, jumping two spots to No. 11. The Tigers originally began the week Tuesday with a 10-8 home win over Lamar, and would post one of SEC baseball’s most notable weekend performances, sweeping Tennessee at home by final scores of 9-1, 7-4, and 7-1.

Having now won five-straight, Missouri now enters a big midweek matchup Tuesday night against Kansas. The Tigers will then travel to face a red-hot South Carolina team later this week in Columbia.
