July 19th. That is the date that EA Sports just announced the release of College Football 25. This is the game that went dormant for over 10 years in large part because of the Ed O’Bannon case against the NCAA which caused much controversy over the game due to players not being paid for the name, image and likeness within it.
Fast forward 10 years and the time has just about arrived. Not only did Electronic Arts announce it’s release date, but they also revealed players that will appear on it’s different editions of the game including the Deluxe and standard versions.
Here are the Players that will be Featured on the Cover of EA Sports College Football 25
Quinn Ewers
The Texas Longhorns quarterback is featured alongside Donovan Edwards and Travis Hunter on the standard edition. After transferring from Ohio State after his freshman season, Ewers has been the starting quarterback in Austin for Steve Sarkisian’s Longhorns the last two years.
Ewers helped lead the Longhorns to the college football semifinal this past year. This was the first college football playoff appearance for the team since the playoff formats inception over a decade ago.
Ewers is front and center on the cover and will appear on the cover in both versions when the game is released.
Donovan Edwards
Edwards put the country on notice last year when the running back for the Michigan Wolverines ran wild on Kalen DeBoer and the Washington Huskies defense during 2023 college football national championship.
Backing up Blake Corum at running back for the Wolverines, Edwards only ran for 497 yards on the season, but ran wild against the Huskies for 104 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Edwards will appear on both versions of College Football 25.
Travis Hunter
The two-way sophomore standout played wide receiver and defensive back for Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes in 2023 and was one of the most popular names in the country. Hunter has elite athleticism and his spot on the cover is well-deserved.
He scored five touchdowns and amassed 721 receiving yards in his nine appearances for the Buffs in 2023.
Hunter will appear on both the standard and deluxe versions of College Football 25.
Jalen Milroe
The Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback will return for his second season as starter in 2024 after leading the Tide to the college football playoff in 2023. The Tide would fall to the eventual national champion, Michigan Wolverines in overtime, but Milroe would cap off quite the season despite the lack of starting experience.
Milroe enters 2024 as one of the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy and is actually the top returning player amongst the top six Heisman Trophy vote-getters from 2023. He
Quinshon Judkins
Judkins has had a lot of talk this offseason after the running back’s unexpected departure from the Ole Miss Rebels following his sophomore season. Judkins is now positioned to be the starting running back for the Ohio State Buckeyes after transferring to the school a few months ago.
Judkins will appear on the cover of the deluxe version of College Football 25.
Carson Beck
After sitting behind Stetson Bennett for two years at the University of Georgia, Beck took center stage as the starting quarterback for the Bulldogs in 2023 and did not disappoint. He led the Bulldogs to a 12-1 record with their only loss being to Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide in the 2023 SEC Championship.
Beck enters the 2024 season as one of the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy after capping the 2023 season with an Orange Bowl victory against the Florida State Seminoles 63-3. The Seminoles came into the contest undefeated.
You will find Beck on the deluxe version of the College Football 25 game.
