Ranking the Top Five College Football Video Game Cover Athletes of All Time

Since EA Sports outed its first edition in 1995, tons of athletes have had the privilege to star on the cover, but not all have had such success since that time. Let’s take a look at the top five cover athletes since 1995 and see how their careers shaped out.

EA Sports announced on Thursday morning that the highly anticipated NCAA College Football 25 video game is dropping this summer on July 19 for the first time since July of 2013, back when NCAA 14 was released. 

This year, Texas’ Quinn Ewers, Colorado’s Travis Hunter and Michigan’s Donovan Edwards will be kick-starting the new game as the official cover athletes - which is a phenomenal personal achievement.

Here are the Top Five NCAA Football Video Game Cover Athletes

No. 1: Reggie Bush - Southern California, Running Back, 2003-2005

In college, Bush was a force to be reckoned with. The Southern California running back highlighted the College Football world from his freshman campaign to his junior season, rushing for 3,169 total yards and totaling 25 touchdowns in that span. Bush won the Heisman award in 2005, was named an All-American once and won the Pac10 Offensive Player of the Year award twice in 2004 and 2005.

Bush was drafted second overall by the New Orleans Saints in the 2006 draft and had a solid rookie run, fulfilling the statsheet with 565 rushing yards and six touchdowns. His career lasted 11 seasons in which he also played for the Dolphins, Lions and 49ers before calling it quits with the Bills in 2016.
