Recruiting streak sets up Missouri for an elite 2025 class
Eli Drinkwitz recently came out with a tweet on X (formerly known as Twitter) that sums up the past week for the Missouri Tigers. And that is “why stop now,” referencing the rash of recruiting commitments the Tigers have been rolling in the past few weeks.
According to On3, beginning on July 4th, the Tigers went on arguably the most impressive run of recruiting commitments this offseason not just across the SEC, but all of college football pulling in four, four-star commitments in a three day span.
What players recently committed to the Missouri Tigers?
Jayvan Boggs (WR)
The Cocoa, Florida product kicked it off for this group of four on July 4th committing to the Tigers over UCF, Florida and Ohio State as his other schools projected according to On3. He ranks as the 29th best receiver in the class of 2025.
The four star prospect has 21 power four offers to date. Boggs decommitted from the Ohio State Buckeyes back in March and has had an open recruitment until now.
Keiton Jones (OL)
The six foot four inch 315 pounds interior offensive line recruit looks SEC ready now, and that is still with a year of growth and development to go. The four star prospect, Jones is ranked as the seventh best prospect in the state of Kansas, and will feel right at home in Columbia just a few hours from his hometown of Coffeyville, Kansas.
Donovan Olugbode (WR)
Olugbode is the highest receiver commit so far in the 2025 class for the Tigers out of IMG Academy. Olugbode ranks as the 13th best receiver prospect in the country, and the 12th best prospect in the state of Florida.
Lamont Rogers (OT)
With a six foot seven inch height at 305 pounds and athletic ability, it is no wonder Rogers is ranked as the seventh offensive tackle prospect nationally. Equally as impressive is his ranking as the twelfth best recruit out of the state of Texas, which is one of the top states for high school talent in the country. To be ranked in the top 100 in that state is impressive, let alone on the fringe of the top 10.
Although a four star recruit at this moment, do not be surprised if Rogers is bumped up to five stars after putting on some more tape his senior year. Rogers had offers from 29 other power four programs.
Who are the biggest recruits for the Missouri Tigers so far in 2025?
Quarterback Matt Zollers headlines the 2025 class so far as the 29th best recruit in the country according to On3. Zollers is followed closely by Rogers and Olugbode, so things are definitely rounding into form for the Tigers.
What is the national recruiting ranking for the Missouri Tigers in 2025?
The rash of commitments for the Tigers lately has boosted their On3 class ranking from 21st to 14th nationally, and from 12th to eighth in the SEC. The momentum for the Tigers seems to have only picked up since their Cotton Bowl victory against Ohio State, so look for more positive news to come.
