Headscratching Week 3 Coach’s Poll Released
If we have learned anything about the media in 2015 it is this: they really, really, really,….like really really….hate being wrong. Somehow after beating an 0-3 Louisville team, needing overtime to defeat FCS opponent Jacksonville State, and getting embarrassed by one-dimensional LSU — Auburn is still ranked in the Amway Coach’s Poll. I have no idea how anyone justifies that.
As expected after a great week 3 of college football, there was plenty of movement in the poll. The biggest jump, unsurprisingly, came from Ole Miss. Previously ranked #11, the Rebels jumped to #5 after upsetting Alabama in Tuscaloosa in a game of the year candidate Saturday night.

Alabama took a respectable tumble to just outside the top 10. Some will say they should have remained in the top 10 but solace should come from the fact that they are the highest ranked team with a loss (Oregon was really the only other option) and are still ahead of several undefeated teams.
LSU also made big movement in the polls, moving up 5 spots and cracking the top 10 for the first time this season after dismantling the Auburn Tigers. LSU’s schedule sets up nicely the next few weeks (Syracuse-Eastern Michigan-South Carolina) and should enable the Tigers to continue rising in the polls.
The other notable movements were that Georgia rose 3 spots (to #6) but fell behind Ole Miss, Texas A&M continued their climb after entering the season unranked by rising 3 spots to #15 and Mizzou managed to fall back three spots to #23 after winning in unimpressive fashion.
