ATS: Southbound and Down Readers Pick the Games

Picking games isn’t easy.  Making picks against the spread (ATS) is even more difficult.  After seeing the staff here at Southbound and Down have some up and down weeks, readers made their voices heard about how much better they could do.  And they shined in their first opportunity to do so.

The two weeks since then, however, have showed many of our readers just how hard picking these games can be.  Readers had an 8-4 record in their first two weeks of picking, giving no real reason for concern even after a subpar week 2.  And then readers got their third try.

After a solid start that had many readers ready to travel to Vegas, the picks from the third week of Southbound and Down readers picking the games have been tallied.  They have ruined the overall record of the readers.

1-6. I’m not here to talk trash and rub it in anyone’s face.  I’ve had my down weeks too (including this one as I was 2-5).  And let’s be honest.  Unless your name is Ryan Summers, week 11 contained many results you never saw coming.

A reminder of how things work in this pick ‘em:

While individual picks will not make the article, the results from the reader’s polls will be included in our standings.  We’ll make polls available for all of the SEC games and you, the reader, can select the winner and whether or not they’ll cover the spread.  Then the following week we’ll update how the fans did in picking the games and include them in our standings.
