AL.com is reporting that  Golson has a list of 10 schools to which he is considering a transfer, and Alabama is one of them. Reports are that the front runner as of now, is Florida State. FSU expected starter for the season is suppose to be Sean Maguire who started the game against Clemson last year when starter Jameis Winston was suspended.

It would seem now that the Seminoles are his main target. Alabama is also in the running again for another transfer quarterback. Just last month, rumors were running rampant that Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller was also considered changing his address to Tuscaloosa.

Those rumors have since died down, or were more like shot down by Ohio State coach Urban Meyer.

Would anyone be excited about Golson coming to Tuscaloosa? The numbers he put up last year were impressive. He threw for almost 3500 yards and 29 touchdowns, which is fairly impressive. But there are issues that could be concerning to go along with those impressive stats.

Golson has a tendency to turn the ball over (22 turnovers in 2014) and he’d be a senior coming into next season. You have to wonder would it be a good idea for Alabama to take on another one and done quarterback? And if Alabama is taking on yet another transfer, what is going on with the development of young quarterbacks down there?

But then again, all the Alabama starting quarterbacks under Nick Saban — with the exception of his first year on the job — have all won 10 or more games under his reign, and with the exception of John Parker Wilson, they all have won an SEC Championship or a national championship.

However, if Alabama has to depend on Golson or Braxton Miller to start, you wonder what kind of talent do they really have down in Tuscaloosa at the QB position.

Fans have been spoiled over the years by great quarterback play. Is this the year that the Crimson Tide’s luck finally runs out? Only time will tell.
