Mark Richt (Evaluation)
Both Richt and Gary Pinkel have been at their respective universities since 2001. Richt has earned the title Dean of SEC Coaches due to The University of Georgia being a part of the SEC his entire tenure.
Along with being a two-time SEC Coach of the Year (2002, 2005), Richt has also won the SEC East division title six times (2002-03, 2005, 2007, 2011-12), and the SEC Championship twice (2002, 2005).
He sits atop the Eastern power rankings due to the fact that he is the only one who has won the SEC at his current school (sorry Spurrier). While some may say he has underachieved and his most recent success has been modest, accolades trump all here. Such is life in the SEC.
