SEC Heisman Hopefuls (Post Week 5)
Oct 3, 2015; Baton Rouge, LA, USA; LSU Tigers running back Leonard Fournette (7) before a game against the Eastern Michigan Eagles at Tiger Stadium. We are running out of ways to describe Fournette’s Heisman run. Mandatory Credit: Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports
Leonard Fournette
Leonard Fournette has played in 4 football games this season. He has proceeded to go ahead and rush for over 225 yards in 3 of those 4 games. His Heisman talk is not relegated to SEC. His Heisman hype is full blown on a national scale and deservedly so. I’m running out of things to say about this guy that haven’t already been said. Look, if LSU really wanted to do something nice for South Carolina, they’d sit Leonard Fournette this week. I’m guessing that was never a part of the conversation and that we are in line for another 200+ yard performance this weekend. I just feel bad for South Carolina at this point. By the end of this game, I’m betting money that through just 5 games, Leonard Fournette will have already topped a 1,000 rushing yards because he is currently sitting on a season total of 864 yards. Can we just go ahead and give him the Heisman?
