"Jan 23, 2016; College Station, TX, USA; Texas A&M Aggies guard Danuel House (23) shoots against Missouri Tigers guard Wes Clark (15) in the second half at Reed Arena. Aggies won 66-53. Mandatory Credit: Thomas B. Shea-USA TODAY SportsWell. That didn’t take long. There hasn’t even been a week passes since my initial SEC basketball power rankings came out, and it is already time to shake things up. Except for Missouri, because they are terrible."
14. Missouri 8-11 (1-5)- 3rd double digit loss in 6 games. Silver lining? They only lost to Texas A&M by 13.
13. Mississippi State 8-10 (1-5)- After playing Florida close, Mississippi State beat in state rival Ole Miss. Maybe Newman and company are beginning to figure things out. They look better now than they did just 5 games ago.

12. Ole Miss 12-7 (2-5)- After starting hot, Ole Miss have been losers in 4 straight games. Their latest loss came to aforementioned Mississippi State in a game they could not lose.
11. Alabama 10-8 (1-5)- Playing LSU down to the wire is good enough to keep you at number 11 if a team in front of you loses to Mississippi State.
10. Auburn 9-9 (3-4)- Consistency. If Coach Pearl could get this team to play their best night in and night out, we’d have a top 20 team in the country. Instead, we get a team that can beat Kentucky on national television and then lose to Florida by 32.
9. Tennessee 10-9 (3-4)- Huge win over then AP Ranked 24th South Carolina. Kevin Punter balled out of his mind shooting 50 percent from the field and hanging up 36 points on the Gamecocks.
8. Arkansas 9-10 (3-4)- You could talk me out of having them inside my top 10. They needed the game at Georgia before Texas A&M came to town this week but came up just short. They lost to the bulldogs by 3, and it looks likely that through the first 20 games, the Razorbacks will be 9-11.
7. Vanderbilt 11-8 (3-4)- They had their chance against Kentucky to prove that they were for real this year. They blew it. Vanderbilt ended up on the wrong side of a 76-57 score at Kentucky, and I’ve given up hope on Vanderbilt being top a top 3 SEC basketball power.
6. Georgia 11-6 (4-3)- I’m not buying Georgia as a real contender in the SEC power rankings as of yet. 2 of their 4 wins came against Missouri and when they played Texas A&M they lost 79-45.

5. South Carolina 17-2 (4-2)- Maybe the worst 17-2 team of all time, but still, they are 17-2. Losing by 9 Tennessee does anything but help their argument of being a “legitimate” contender.
4. LSU 12-7 (5-2)- Gutsy win against upset-minded Alabama. Ben Simmons is good. Like, he is really, really good.
3. Florida 13-6 (5-2)- Has Florida figured out how to shoot the 3-ball or do their recent performances from behind the line have more to do with their opposition? If Florida can continue to shoot the ball like this from deep and rank in the top 10 in the country in rebounds per game, watch out.
2. #20 Kentucky 15-4 (5-2)- Yeah, we haven’t forgotten about some of those bad losses from earlier in the season. It is yet to be determined if the 19-point Kentucky win says more about Kentucky, or Vanderbilt, after this game.
1. #5 Texas A&M 17-2 (7-0)- After beating Georgia by 34, and LSU by 14, it has to be a little disappointing to beat Missouri by only 13 points. I’m interested to see how Texas A&M handles the pressure of being voted a top 5 team.
