Georgia Football: Final Thoughts on ‘RBU’ Battle in Super Bowl 53
Mark Rogers and I talk about Super Bowl 53 and former Georgia Football running backs, Sony Michel and Todd Gurley. From Gurley’s interview to who I think will come out on top, Rogers and I covered it all.
Today is the day! Super Bowl 53 is finally here! I joined Mark Rogers to discuss two of the Super Bowl’s most talked about players, Todd Gurley and Sony Michel.
Rogers has his own YouTube channel where he discusses college football with fans, journalists, players, and coaches from all over the country.
The topic today was Georgia football and how two of the best running backs will do in the biggest football game of their careers. Rogers opened up talking about how Georgia continues to be known as ‘RBU.’

We discussed Gurley’s comments about Michel and how he taught the rookie running back everything he knows. I explain how the comments were more of a fun dig at Michel rather than being serious about teaching them everything they know.
I also mention that the Bulldogs have the longest active streak of having a player in the Super Bowl for the last 18 years.
Then the two of us break down who will have a better game. Like I discussed in my RBU Battle article, I explain how I believe that Michel will have a better game, but will be ecstatic because finally, a Georgia running back gets a ring.
Finishing the segment up, we discussed the controversial calls and how Rogers feels like neither team deserves to be in the Super Bowl.
Check out the segment below to see what Rogers and I think about the matchup and see who he thinks will have a better game.
Super Bowl 53 will air on CBS Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. ET. The game is in Atlanta where Michel and Gurley will go head to head. Both backs need to have good games to help lead their teams to their first ring.
