SEC Basketball: Texas A&M, Vanderbilt rise in latest 2022-23 power rankings

12. LSU Tigers

LSU once again remains in the No. 12 ranking this week, as the Tigers now sit at 12-13 overall, as well as 1-11 in the SEC. The Tigers have now lost 12 consecutive games dating back to January 3, with their two losses this past week having come at Mississippi State on Wednesday, 64-53, as well as at home to Texas A&M on Saturday, 74-62.

Looking to snap their losing streak, the Tigers will start the week by traveling to Georgia on Tuesday night. LSU will then return home Saturday for the previously mentioned matchup against South Carolina.

11. Georgia Bulldogs

Even despite picking up a big win at home Saturday, Georgia drops a spot to No. 11 this week, with the Bulldogs now sitting at 15-10 overall, as well as 5-7 in SEC play. Georgia’s last week would originally begin with a 78-74 road loss at Ole Miss on Tuesday night, with the Bulldogs however bouncing back Saturday in Athens with a 75-68 win over Kentucky, which snapped a three-game losing streak.

Georgia will now remain at home for their midweek contest this Tuesday, as LSU comes to Athens. The Bulldogs will then travel to Tuscaloosa on Saturday for a matchup against Alabama, who has a multi-game lead atop the SEC at the moment.
